Sioux Falls, SD—The Sioux Falls Jr. Stampede AAA is pleased to announce Nathan Mutschelknaus (’00) has been selected to participate in the USA Hockey Select 17 National Player Development Camp in Amherst, NY on June 24-30.
Mutschelknaus, a native of Brandon, South Dakota, was an integral member of the ’16-’17 Jr Stampede 16U team that made their first ever appearance at the National Tournament. The 6’0,” 178lb left handed defenseman had 52 points in 51 games.
“Nathan is a 'founding member' of the Jr Stampede Tier 1 program that began with a 14U team three years ago, which makes this selection even more meaningful for our program. Nathan has continued to develop, working extremely hard and has never quit on the process. He was a leader on our team last season and had a fantastic showing at the National Tournament,” said Head Coach, Noëlle Needham.
The USA Hockey Select 17 National Player Development Camp is an elite player development camp for the best 200 players in the country. The Camp features skill development sessions, competitive games, off-ice workouts, and player meetings. This marks the third year that a player from the Jr Stampede AAA program has been selected to attend the USA Hockey national camp.
