Sioux Falls, SD—The Sioux Falls Stampede (USHL) and the Sioux Falls Jr Stampede Hockey Club announce their partnership to hire goaltending coach Dave Rogalski for the 2016-17 season.
Prior to his USHL role with the Sioux Falls Stampede, he served as a volunteer goaltenders coach at Division I St. Cloud State University. He spent the past three seasons working with former Stampede goaltender Charlie Lindgren who set a program record for wins in a season (30), had a 1.23 goals-against average and had five shutouts this past season before signing with the Montreal Canadiens.
“We are very fortunate to have Dave join our Jr Stampede staff to work with our goaltenders,” stated Jr Stampede GM Matt Tobin. “Dave has a proven track record working with elite goalies throughout the US. He’s personable, knowledgeable, intense and hardworking and I know our goalies are going to appreciate his efforts and expertise.”
The Osseo, Minn, native played high school hockey at Benilde-St. Margaret’s High School where he helped lead the Red Knights to a State “A” title in 1999. He has served as the head goalie coach for the Upper Midwest Elite League for three seasons and three seasons as a coach and consultant with the Owatonna Express of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) as well as the Tri-City Storm of the USHL.
